Then the cause of that smile lets you fall.
And everything turns to disappoint.

I say goodbye to my almost lover, I
Watched as you watched me, slowly fade away.
I turn around and leave, as I try
Becoming a transparent shade of grey.

I close my eyes, as the clock strikes three
I can't even sleep cause your always on my mind.
What could have been; You meant so much to me.
You're two steps forward, I'm always two behind.

I stand outside your house on a rainy night,

this is really pretty and great! :)

You've gotta find out the right title,

sometimes you  can use the first sentence as the title,
and repeat it in the end...

either way, you should enter some poetry contests :)
