Who Gives Kudos:

Thursday, October 22, 2009
Veteran's Day (November 11th) is a holiday to observe and pay our respects to military personnel, both past and present. As most of you are aware, Taylor is a big supporter of our troops, and will be running a special video campaign leading up to Veteran's Day.

Starting Monday, October 26th, you will have the opportunity to upload your own personal videos, sharing your stories of those you know who have served in the military, or those who are currently serving. On Veteran's Day, Taylor will choose a select number of your videos to feature on his Ustream video player. In order to upload your videos to the Ustream account, follow the directions below.

How to upload
1.) Sign into your Ustream account (if you're not a member, you can easily create an account) Click here to go to Ustream
2.) Record your video and include #taylorhicks in the title (this will automatically link your video to Taylor's ustream account)
3.) Check back on November 11th to see if your video was added Taylor Hicks Ustream account: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/soul-patrol-webcast

We call it Remembrance Day in Canada.  My dad was in World War 2 as a navigator in the Royal Canadian Air Force.  I think it's important to remember the sacrifices made by our soldiers, navy, air force in order that we may enjoy the freedoms we have today.  I am proud of you Taylor for honouring this day and commend your efforts.

This is a great way to celebrate Veterans Day, Taylor.  We should all be thankful for the sacrifices our servicemen and women have made for our freedom!

That's a great thing you're doing Taylor. Your song 19 reminds me of a local northern NY guy Jack Sweet that did die at nineteen serving in the toth mountain division of the Fort Drum army base. That song has a special spot in my heart.

What a wonderful gesture, Taylor.  Thanks for always remembering.  I hope it will be possible to download the videos onto a DVD.  I'm planning to gather items for "Stockings for Soldiers" for the holidays.  I would love to send copies of the videos along with your CD I'm including, to show how much we/you are supporting them.

God Bless you!

as a mother of a son serving in USArmy, thank you.  My son is getting set to do his 5th tour of Iraq this fall.  It is heartwarming to know that others remember.

Wow, 5th tour to Iraq! My Marine has been 3 times to Iraq.  His 5th deployment is coming up next year and I think he will go to Afghanistan this time. It's not for sure yet. Hugs to you from another mom who KNOWS! Praying all our boys (and girls) will come back safe once again.
