On The Ticket this week, I'm being interviewed by presenter, Mark Coles. I'll also be playing two tracks live on the grand piano, Train and Cherry Pie , from my latest album, Cherry Pie.

It'll be a 10 minute slot of an hour show which is being broadcast at:
18.05 (GMT) Saturday 28 OCT 06 and 09.05 Sunday (GMT) 29 OCT 06.
(i.e. UK - 7.05pm Sat 28 OCT and 9.05 am Sun 29 OCT;
NZ - 7.05 am Sat 28 OCT and 10.05 pm Sat 28 OCT 06.)

Wherever you are, there's a few ways you can listen to the show:
- A live stream on the web: www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/schedules/internet/wsradio_sat.shtml
- As a web archive, anytime after the show is aired on Saturday.
- On the radio. If you've not done this before, you can do a web search for the broadcasting frequency in your country.

"In May 2006 the BBC reported that the World Service's average weekly audience had reached 163 million people, beating the previous record of 153 million listeners set in 2001."

Also, coming up: Cherry Pie is soon to be available on I Tunes and the now sold out debut album, Dig A Hole, should be soon to follow.

Big love,
Leila

Looking forward to the broadcast. Was going to ask you about how to get a copy of Dig a Hole, and it's great to know it will be available on I Tunes - but guess what they are not in NZ yet! Have you heard of emusic - they only stock independent music (including for example John Zorn's Tzadic label), sell for about 25c a track (hope the artists get a decent cut) and they ARE available in NZ.  From the man in Christchurch - but I'm sure others read the blog, just haven't subscribed yet!

That sounds great. Always interested in an alternative. Thanks for the tip,

Lxxx

PS That's true. I've had messages from others who read the blog and who've not yet subscribed. Your subscription has pushed me to write more frequent blogs and also to subscribe to other peoples' blogs - community is what it's all about!
