Arches LIVE! is the Arches annual 10 day festival of risk-taking live performance and offers a platform and support for emergent and experimental artists.
We aim for the building to become
a meeting point, site of debate and free space for the exploration of new ideas.
We would like to receive proposals for work to be considered for the September 2009 festival. Artists of all performance disciplines are welcome to apply, we particularly encourage submission in multi-disciplinary work. The only stipulation is that the work is new and developed specifically for Arches Live!
The Arches
cannot provide production budgets but are happy for applicants to seek external funding. We will provide the following:
Free rehearsal space/development time in our Basement and Studio spaces
Presentation of a final production for up to 3 nights between the 17th - 26th of September 2009
Mentoring and practical support from The Arches technical, press, marketing and design teams
Selection will be through submission of project outlines. Please send a detailed proposal, including the following information: nature of piece, names of artists and creators, stage requirements, if you know the different spaces at the Arches then let us know where in the building you would want to present the work, approximate running times, an idea of lighting and sound requirements, c.v.'s of all those involved.
