Long time/no talk...How was your Halloween?
What's been going on? Me? So busy. . Played in a church with Magnolia Electric Co last Wednesday. Last week, I opened up for Jim Rose.
It's been a whirlwind lately..Unexpected show with Grand Buffet a week ago at Emo's opening for Girl Talk. Pretty insane. . Biggest show in a long long time for me.
Made me miss the road and performing in front of BIG audiences. But mostly, it made me miss hanging with GB.

I promise you in 2009 you will see me doing this again in your town. .


So anyway... I'm pretty psyched about all the attention my buddies MGMT have been getting lately (new SPIN cover!!! = BADASS!). Much deserved. Top notch dudes, if you ask me. Here's what it looked like from my perspective during their performance at Austin City Limits:





And this is old news, but they really did come out to the afterparty I was djing at Lambert's after ACL and get on stage and do the Charles In Charge theme song.

Did I tell you I played in Marfa again recently...it started out as a gig at the local BBQ spot and then JD's trailer... I must have played 5 hours straight that night... See:

New cd reviewed in latest AUSTIN CHRONICLE in the Oct. 31 issue. For the record, I don't live in SA anymore, but I'm still proud press people write that.
