This Friday night, October 17, 2008, Red Cap well be performing at the "Hurricane Ike Survivors Throw-down" located at The 517 Club from 9:00pm to 1:00am. The 517 Club is located at 3401 Gulf Freeway, Dickinson, Texas, 77539 and the to the club is (281) 614-5703. The sign in front of the club still reads "Dave's Bar", but don't let that fool you…it is the 517. I guess all the press from those hand-wringers at the National Weather Service were wrong in regards to the certain death anyone in Ike's path would face... we didn't leave, we didn't die and we are ready to play some music. So, come on out this Friday night to The 517 Club and join us in thumbing our collective noses at Hurricane Ike and the local press' penchant for panic mongering.... and don't forget to bring your friends...this gig is a celebration of Music, Life and Adult Beverages. . . Can't wait to see you.
Also, Jerry Reed has passed on to the Great Jam Session in the Sky, so if you have one, wear a trucker cap in his honor. God bless you Jerry, you will be missed.....East bound and down, brother.
