
Phew, what a busy Mela weekend! Albert did a DJ set at The Love Apple on Friday and studio managed for BCB 106.6FM in Peel Park on Saturday; Sarah played two solo cello sets in Peel Park on Sunday; and Wilful Missing had two gigs also.
The first gig was headling for Factory Street on the Peel Stage. It was lovely to be asked to play for them, it's been great to have become friends with them over the past year. Our second gig was at The Cricketers Arms in Keighley on Sunday night. We thought that Ruth's cajon would suit a Sunday gig better than her full kit, and the more subtle approach certainly seemed to work well. We were sorry to learn that James Mitchell of The Cricketers Arms is ill, and we all wish him a speedy recovery.
