Listen Before Dialing, the new album from Roman Reese, is scheduled for release on April 24th.  You can pre-order your copy today on MySpace or at www.romanreese.com; you can also listen to some of the tracks on these sights.... so do it....soon.  I'll wait while you give them a listen...

What did you think?  Good?  So, we'll have a CD Release Party at the Catalyst Music Hall on Thurs., May 7 at 9pm.  Doors open at 8pm.  Tickets are $5 at the door.  Show your RR stamp at the merchandise table, tell them about this blog, and tell them that I said you could have a CD for only $5.  Awesome?  Yes it is, America.  We'll have stickers and even copies of other RR CDs - WOW!

Knoxville's own Reverdies (formerly Allegories) will open the show.  Sounds glorious, does it not.

The new album is gonna (for lack of a better catch phrase) change your life...hopefully.  It features members of Medford's Black Record Collection and the Velvet Elvis Praise BandMichael Davis provides harmony vocals and plucks on the banjo, Matt Foster sings as well, dishes out some dirty dobro and manhandles the mandolin, Hunter Deacon bangs on the pagan skins, and the impeccible Clint Mullican delivers superb upright and electric bass.  The CD Release Party will include the full backing band from the album.  I'm sure some of you realize how long it's been since the RR has played with a band.  Suffice it to say that it's been longer than the last time that he spoke of himself in the third person.

This is a terrible blog.

If you love America, you'll love this album.  It's about the four traditional RR subjects: Liquor, The Lord, Women, and War.  There's also a song about copper mine explosions...and one about epilepsy... I can't wait until you hear it!

105.3 WFIV has a copy of the album.  Call Winnie and tell her to play some tracks, (865)777-4105.  I'll be in the studio on May 6th at 8pm.  You can listen online at www.wfiv.com.  This has been great.

The Catalyst is a big room.  Bring your friends.  Let's fill it up.  Get your fingers to the websites.  I'll be switching songs in and out and up and down and slonge-wise right up until the big day, so stay posted and you might just hear the entire album before it's even been released.
