Dear friends and fans -

As most of you know I am about to embark on a huge trip to Liberia again, with my film partner Nika. We will be there for at least 3 weeks filming a documentary about gender based violence against children (aka child rape). It is a huge issue in Liberia, and becoming one in the US as well. We have the UN behind us, as well as the Liberian government.

We will be applying for grants when we return for editing and finishing the film, but in the meantime we are paying for this entire thing out of our own pockets.

Not only airfare, over-priced hotels and security...but food and medical supplies for the little girl featured in the film. We want to leave her much better off then when we met her.

I am humbly asking you to consider donating $10 or so to our trip and cause. I obviously wouldn't turn down any amount, but even $10 goes a long way. You will get a credit in the film, and the joy of knowing that Olive and her mom were taken care of. If everyone gave $10, i think we'd be in great shape. (I realize I sound like a cheesy commercial, but you get the idea!)

More importantly, I am asking that you forward this email to anyone and everyone you know regardless of donations. I want the word to get out.
