So, after a short walk with Daisy, Jacki came home feeling a little crampy.
"I've got to go pee", she said with an irregular tone in her voice. "Oh Oh. Jaime, I think my water just broke!"
"Really? Should I go and grab the floaties?", I replied. Now even though this is a serious situation, I always manage to find humor in almost anything. So I quickly sprang into action!
We headed on over to Lady's house to drop Seth off for the night, then we were hospital bound! Dilated to a 3 and 80% thin, Jacki was feeling A OK. After arrival, the nurses began with the prep. work. Throughout this whole process Jackson kept questioning the epidural, mainly because she wasn't feeling much pain and didn't think she needed it....
"Should I have it or should I not have it? I really don't think I need it." she said. I guess all those TLC shows about painful deliveries didn't phase her enough. No, seriously, this girl was complaining about not feeling
enough pain. Hell, she even thought about going all natural for the delivery. But Mommy was quick to change her mind. So on with the epidural it was. Jacki's contractions were getting pretty severe, but after a couple of hrs, they just stopped. One hour passes. Two hours pass. Where the hell did they go? On with the Pitocin (don't make fun of me for pronouncing it wrong Jacki) injections.
Ok, fast forward to 4 am. Jacki had finally dilated to a 10 and was feeling some maaaad pressure in her tummy but the Dr. hadn't arrived yet!?!! 45 mins later, the Dr. finally walks in. With legs spread open and high in the air, Jacki begins to push and at 4:58 am, with a full head of hair ,out came Bailey Christine Leal!

I really can't explain what I felt when I saw her. It was all just a big ball of emotions; anxiety, nervousness, nausea. Words really can't describe it. Bailey came in at 6 lbs 14 oz and 20 inches in length. Healthy and very alert, my life is finally fulfilled! I love my new family!!
