APFR frontman Brandon S. Bowker recently spent several weeks recording the songs of fellow singer/ songwriter Sarah Justice Clauson. Armed with an ancient tape of 11 Clauson originals and his number one seagull, Bowker lent his unique brand of melodic interpretation to the project. "Mostly I was interpreting. I would sit down and listen to this old tape -alot of the recordings were raw and tough to hear. One song at a time, I would listen, and try to figure out the basic chords first. Then I would really give it a couple of times through, and try to come up with the lyrics. Put it all together, add a few noises and flourishes, and I'm actually really happy with it! Sarah writes amazing songs. These are real gems! She's a fantastic singer, and I think we look at music in a similar way. It was a blast to do, and I am so proud that she let me play her stuff!"
