Current mood: exhausted
The headline kinda sums this blog up. To sum up my summer:
-Got a girlfriend, lost a girlfriend, all within a month -Summer school, 'nuff said -My underage cousin had a baby -And to top it all off, my house caught fire recently
Yeah, great time, eh?
Megg and i started dating each other at the end of the school year (for those of you who didn't know), and we got off at a great start, laughin, talkin, datin, etc. but, around our anniversary, (and i started noticin this) Megg was growing more and more uncomfortable with hugging, and all the physical stuff. She decided that she wasn't ready for a boyfriend, so we split. I was hurt, but, in the end, i realized that if i tried to get her back, I'd just be acting selfishly. I decided that I would keep with the formula that worked when we were dating, and that was whatever made her happy, made me happy, which was true.
Summer is everything you'd expect from a month-long school in the middle of summer: hot, annoying, tiring, and extremely easy. I was there for 10th grade English, which has always been my Achilles' Heel. Honestly, I'm surprised I wasn't in there sooner. The only good thing to come of summer school was that I got to see some of my friends every day. I liked the teacher, Mr. Silk. This was all at Assabet, by the way.
As for my cousin, the details are a little private, and i can't (and don't want to) elaborate.
Now for the icing on the cake. If you haven't seen the news article (yeah, it was in the news), well my house caught fire on Saturday. We're pretty sure it was caused by poorly thrown away ciggarette ashes. Nobody was hurt, but the top floor of my house has to be completely redone. My family and I are staying in a hotel until a trailer is placed in our yard. Then, we'll have to stay in there for around three months until the upstairs is livable again. The only upside to this is that we're getting a ton of money for the stuff that was destroyed from the insurance company. Also, the insurance is paying for the repairs, the hotel, and any food or clothes we buy until we are in the trailer.
School is going to seem so boring after this. At least, until SATs, that is.
