Current mood:  mellow
Category: Music
We're boarded up, nailed up shut, rats and mice take center stage, but for these 'Rats, this is good bye. We're letting our web site www.thenuclearlabrats.com expire. There will never be a new 'Rats tune written. Why?

We wrote a song in 2005 called TURBIN BOMB. It was motivated by the news of the death threats Danish cartoonists received for drawing pictures of Mohammad and how Iran was thirsty for Uranium to build nuclear weapons, and news of insurgents activities and suicide bombers. It's been well over two years now and it's still all over the news. We were simply trying out the concept of being topical based writers, rocking the news.

However, we didn't realize we would put ourselves at risk in the process. And so we're done. This wasn't what we intended. In case you don't know what we're talking about see the links below. Afterwards click on TURBIN BOMB in our music players and click LYRICS. So much for freedom of speech.

We don't get it. How can man-made religion be so dvisive. How can human beings kill and think they're right in doing so in their gods name. It turns out this is nothing new, it's not news, it's a sad reality which just keeps repeating itself. Humans have been created with a defective chip in their heads to be able to believe in something, no matter how wrong, with all their heart, with zero evidence or proof of such, and moreso, condem all who do not follow their particular brand of god to death. To say "since the infidels are going to hell anyway, why not snuff them out, without any remorse" is just sick.

It was nice knowing you all, but these here test animals are now officially deceased, as is the fate of most, if not all test animals. Maybe we'll be reincarnated as guinea pigs in our next life, who knows. But now, the test is over.

Thanks to those of you who befriended us and showed your support over the years. Thank you to Chemistry Set Records for being brave enough to have aired our demos. Thank you to SoundAid.org for all you do to feed the hungry. Thanks to everybody who watched us writhe in our cages over the years. Thank you for your understanding. Our Rat masks are being retired, maybe some museum will display them with our story and song some day.

We love all. We're not racists. But we hate what some choose to do in the name of their religion. We wish you all the very best. The Nuclear Labrats RIP 1991-2008

The Amazing Sea Monkees

Fare well fellow creatures. Ironically, we're expecting a new tune from you based on the NEWS of the break-up. You were one of a kind. Although understood, seems a bit of a shame.

Man from M.A.R.S.

Sorry to hear the news. You know when I first heard the song 2 years ago, I thought it was a great statement.....but that you were nuts. I mean these people kill people over this kind of thing.
Curious, have you had threats?

I will miss your creativity, and hope we cross paths again someday.

Jeff

Closest thing (and this was just last week) was on a blog we posted on elsewhere we managed to spark a "Raise to Allah, Death to Danish" response which was close enough. So the Rat masks and never revealing true identities was essential for us, pretty sure you won't find someone else with the last name LaBrat (HA!) but you're right we were crazy. LONG LIVE the Man And Robot Society!

Even though we've let our URL go (no more www. thenuclearlabrats. com) there is an archive of the site that lives on: http://nuclear-labrats. magix. net/website/
