Excellent review. Makes me wish I was there for sure. I love Bang on a Can. One of my favorite pieces is the Michael Gordon thing they did "I Buried Paul" which was inspired by the fade out of "Strawberry Fields Forever". Great headphone listening. Saw them do it at Park West when they came through to do "Music For Airports" back in the late 90's.

I'm a big Steve Reich fan as well. I thought the piece you arranged for drum set sounded great at Black Orchid. And you got to meet Gilberto Gil? I'm just gonna remind you how lucky you are to get to play with and meet all these wonderfully talented people. Damn cool. Anyhow, the whole event sounds amazing. Here's hoping you can be a part of something on that scale here in Chicago someday. Why not Millenium Park in the summer? Which would certainly make your set-up/travel a bit easier eh? :-) One can wish.
