COMING SOON - Talvihorros
"Some Ambulance"
Release Date: 31 August 2009

Talvihorros is the studio project of London based Ben
Chatwin exploring the electronic manipulation of acoustic
instruments. Primarily a guitarist with a background in live
performance, acoustic, electric and prepared guitars are
integrated with organ, piano, banjo, analogue synthesiser
and an array of percussion instruments to create a unique
voice in modern electronic music.
Debut album ‘Its Already on Fire’ was self-released in small
numbers in late 2008 in beautiful, hand crafted and numbered
packaging. It was well received by the likes of Textura.org
‘…compact constructions that quietly dazzle…’ and Norman
records ‘…more bedroom electronics, whoever has made this
clearly has 'the ear' as they've managed to create something
pretty fresh sounding.
Some Ambulance is a more focused and tense affair, with many
tracks coated in a thick atmosphere of lost transmissions,
radio-static and feedback setting the tone for Talvihorros
most emotive guitar work to date. Different phasing
techniques are used to hypnotic effect re-calling the
minimalist work of Steve Reich.

for the past few years perfecting her live set and
developing her wide ranging but unique style. Out this
August. Check out the following links.

Ochre
"Like Dust of the Balance"
OUT NOW

LISTEN
"An of album of considerable charm" - The Wire
"IDM cult master Christopher Leary, the man behind Ochre, is
back with a new offering of his dreamy ambience. It’s full
of shimmering electronics, crunchy, crispy beats and
sweeping melancholic melodies that recall classic electronic
stars such as Boards Of Canada. Leary uses sounds with great
care and, while the scope remains very much in the
down-tempo electronic territories – analogue tones and
glitchy beats – snatches of classical orchestration are
peppered throughout, helping to create rich cinematic
soundscapes. The Spanish guitar and flute of ‘Raido’ and the
delicate silky strings and harp that adorn ‘Napolese’ sound
off-kilter, whimsically carnivalesque and almost old
world-y" - NME
