Quietly, quietly, ever so quietly, whisper revolt do not wait,

for the tides to collide, or the sun to explode,

their honesty will come much too late.

This may be redundant; this voice may be meagre,

innocence rarely did shout

but there will be no law; there will be no vote,

when the time doesn't wait to run out.

So quietly, quietly, ever so quietly, screams will breed hate and fuel fear

the time for hype, fast talking and armoured men stalking

will not help what we dont want to hear.

Pretend you're distracted, they want you distracted

but still feel a minds heart evolve

I have watched others singing, silently singing

and each smile is a hope-filled song.

I am no better, but I hope to be better

and hopefully hope is enough

for if your hoping your looking

and looking is knowing

that there is still some place left to look.

So I'm marching inward,

their marching inward

and no one on earth will protest

if resolute and united

but ever so quietly

we step over their 'things'

and find rest.
