We thank the good people who downloaded the free track STEAMin' Blues by the late great "Shotgun Joe" Williams. We have had a great response first off locally in New Orleans, the City that inspires us every day; secondly, around the States. when a storm opened our city we began to play our music for people who never heard of us; and lastly, around the world, where we continue to travel and offer our brand of music. We thank people who loved the track or hated it. We are happy you listened.

We are in the studio next week and hoping to cap off the start of the 2nd phase of the Hot 8 Brass Band. Many of the songs are written by our fallen members or the songs are a tribute to them. It will hopefully serve as a sending off to a very difficult 13 years.

Pardon our selfishness but this record will be for us. A celebration of our lost brothers. Stay tuned! And a new track will be available around Jazz Fest even though we are not playing the Festival we will have some shows lined up around it.
