Kennesaw is a small town, but not too small. It is 30 minutes North of Atlanta. Ask where anything is, and you will eventually be told, "look for the Wal-Mart". This is where my friend, Jackie lives, with her son, Gage, and her ex, Zeb, who I call "Bear". Her house has the amazing ability to make the world completely disappear. First, you enter the house through the back door, on the porch she has decorated nicer than some people's homes. There are sparkling lights & vines interwoven on the wall she has put up. When you enter the house, the first thing you notice is a stack of wood & glass cages, housing various snakes & lizards. Running around the house at any given moment are 2 dogs, 2cats, her son. Gage, and his girlfriend, Marla. Gage & Marla try to be so street, wearing either all black or any variety of funky clothes; however, better kids you would not find anywhere. The house itself is set up like a ski lodge, with lots of wood, plants, and artwork, all displaying wolves, a particular passion of hers. When you go upstairs, you will find among the rooms, pet mice, ferretts, and a parrot, who has been known to dance along to music. Various activities will usually include music, movies, video games, and the computer. I go there to relax & unwind; this place has a calmness to it that is either spiritual or magic. As tense & wound up as I am when I get there, I am usually as relaxed as "JoJo the Spineless Boy" when I leave. Although it happens on most weekends without fail, they will no doubt apologize for not doing anything special; however, what they do is very special. This house is almost zen-like in its calmness & serenity. If there were a way to package the feeling of Love & warmth I feel there, I would make a fortune. When I die, I wither want to be buried in Jackie's back yard or just propped up in the corner of her living room. (LOL!) Take Care & All the Best. LOLuvs. ^_-
