so as some of you may know, i spent a good portion of last year trying to bring back the phrase, "you're such a card." i feel i was somewhat successful in doing so. most of my friends began using it solely for the humor aspect (hmm... does bringing back such a phrase to humorous results make me a card? i'd like to think so), but i noticed that it actually kind of caught on.

anyway, i'm moving on to a new one. and even though this one wasn't my idea, i'm giving it my full endorsement as hot new phrase for 2009. from now on, we're going to refer to coffee as "a hot cup of gentleman's brown."

i don't have to explain to you why it's awesome. you know that it is. now go forth, my minions, and see how many people you can get onboard this glorious vernacular-changing train.

Hahaha, I'm so confused about the card one. But the word "vernacular" reminds me of "barnacles" which ends up reminding me of pirates when then somehow goes back to Spongebob Squarepants.

Eff.

Call me a pig, but "gentleman's brown" sounds like poo. Sorry, sweetie, you are going to have to pick another phrase, or I will snicker like a 13 year old boy every time you say it.

;)

Too wonderful.... I was telling a friend of mine that I made the best pot of "gentleman's brown" this morning.
I actually saw some of it come out of her nose!
