thanks to Jacopo, who kindly and nicely translated these words from one of the latest independent minds of the "manipulated" and corrupted italian panorama: Giorgio Bocca. God bless Him.
Italians, the Small Ceasar and the lack of interest for Europe.
What is Democracy for Italians? What are elections? Lets follow an order of importance. First, (Democracy) is better than a racist dictatorship. So
let us not commit the same error which the Stalinist-Communists in the
years between the 2 wars did; watching the Fascist Regimes grow
through the hate against Social Democracy. Said this, saying that
this small democracy which we live in is better than any new Nazi-Fa
Regimes, well it doesn..t make one feel better. Italians, the "Popolo Sovrano" (((Popolo
Sovrano is not equal to the People..s power, there is no such word
which is compatible between English and Continental Political thought
regarding these subjects. Its a controversial which is going on
since Bodin I think, in substance it would mean Italians as a One
Single Political Body, which is soveregin of the State and its powers,
counterposed to the pluralistic concept of Common Law, where people is
a plural .))) so they call it, went to vote for the government of
Europe ignoring on purpose the European problems, and hailing for one
side or the other of Berlusconi..s Sultanate . During the electoral
campaign period, instead of discussing on the knots of European
economy, on the invasion of the poor people of the Earth, on the
Laicitee (independent politically from any religion) of the European
Union, or on the persisten conditioning of too much religion on the
european Law (Jewish, Christian, Muslim, whatever), we mainly focused
on the virtues and defects of our own Small Ceasar, on his needs and on
his whims, allowing the exercise of his sense of humour on "Veline" ( the infamous TV image girls who populate the italian cultural panorama) and on other Heads of State, his friends. Let us face it, Dictatorship is worse than a Sultanate. It
is not a joke when we say that the plutocratic revolution and the Coup
of the Business men/women which are going on today are much better
than gas chambers, and the Katyn massacre. But, they are not in the
end, the "Going on", they do not represent a growth of Civil Society.
They are a Sisiphean challenge, always starting again. The praises
from various Politicians appear sassy/rude, looking at the uncaring and
territorially limited minded way on how italians voted for the future
of Europe. I heard Tremonti (Ita-Minister of Finances) speaking on
the crisis, on the errors made by international bankers, ministers,
economists, whilst slicing inside how good italians instead are, and
have been: so intelligent that nobody can fool them, so knowledged that any other economist or banker should go hiding.
Here we go again, a Populist Praise which comes back through the lips
of our politicians, who believe to be so much better than anyone else. And how do they measure their moral stature? With the "Popolo Sovrano" as a unit, to enchant and extort money from. How
to call this hystorical period? It seemed for a momentary lapse of
time, that at the end of WW2 we managed to get a better road for us, to
be amongst the ones who do and act in Europe, for a better Europe. But in Europe we send people that of Europe know nothing.
