So, I have this incredibly awesome fan/friend who did the unthinkable for me the other day! I don't know how she would feel about telling who she is, so we'll keep that secret for now....
I was at work on Friday morning when my guitar department manager called me over to his station. He had this beautiful American made Fender Deluxe Telecaster that I've had my eye on, laying on the counter in a hard shell case, and said,
"You want to play her one more time before she goes out the door?" Of course, my smiling eyes turned to sad, and I gave her a pat and wished her luck with her new owner. I kind of hovered for a minute, and then he asked me if I wanted to know who bought it. Sulking, of course, I said "yeah..."
"It's yours."
"WWWWHHHHAAAATTTTTT?!?!?!?!?!?" came out of my confused little mouth, "Your fuckin' with me! Quit it! No way man! Are you serious??"

Shes soooo pretty!
Turns out, this incredible, awesome, adoring, and compassionate fan was standing behind me the whole time as my DM was telling me this. I noticed her out of the corner of my eye, and kind of had this, whoa what are you doing here?... I put two and two together, obviously, that was why she was there! Not only did she purchase a BEAUTIFUL, GORGEOUS American made Fender Deluxe Tele with a Fender hardshell case, she also included with her gift a Boss delay pedal and an EBow, all of which were things I have had on my wish list for quite some time. I found out later that day that she had contacted my store manager and had been scheming with my co-workers to find out what I was looking for and wanting, and arranged the whole thing without me knowing! AAAMMMAZZZING!!!!

I cannot express how flattered and honored I am to have received such an extravagant, expensive gift, I am still having a hard time believing it still!! This person has really gone the extra mile, and being this is the 4th Telecaster that has fallen into my hands, I believe fully now that there is a reason I'm suppose to have her, and the way that it came into my hands gives me faith that new beautiful music will be coming from my fingertips, my soul... something new and amazing... I've been inspired by the goodness and gratitude of this very generous madame and feel the only way I can thank her is to put Buttercup (thats what I named my new baby!) to work and keep doing what I'm doing.... and get better and better... and that is my full intention!!!!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR YOUR INSPIRATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MUCHO <3 Nikki
