Ever thought about why you believe what you believe?
I'm a Christian. Why am I one? Is it because I happened to be at a church that my parents were going to and I was persuaded by a youth pastor to give my life to Christ? Would I have become Buddhist if my parents had gone to a Buddhist temple and I had been under a guide's influence?
Why are you a christian (if you proclaim to be)? Have you ever thought about it? I think there are many who don't know why. Questioning your beliefs is healthy.
What if the East Jerusalem talpiot tomb discovery now proclaimed by James Cameron to be the tomb of Jesus were true? Jesus, his brothers, mother and others found buried together in a tomb in Jerusalem? Do you know why it is not true? Do you know what it would mean for you if it were true?
Getting in touch with the theology of our salvation is important. An ignorant Christ follower is little benefit to God.
