Really dig the excerpt. It is a great issue of Open City as well so that's cool. I'm looking forward to the book and will pick it and will pick it up at full price at a killer independent store here in Philly, Joseph Fox's. By the way, you've helped me re-discover the excellent-ness that is Pavement's "Wowee Zowee". My only beef, if you wanna call it that, is "Motion..." and "Father...". Maybe you'll be able to persuade me otherwise but i feel they should have put one of those typically short, like 1:15 min, blasts of oddball fun in between to shake things up a little. The two together are a bit slow moving by that point in the disc. By themselves i love 'em. That being said, I am into "Wowee..." more than ever before. Thanks. Oh yeah, and g-damn on the shows in Central Park, eh? Fuckers sold out too quickly for me but i may still get there. I'm 38 and have known about them since "Crooked...". Something has always gotten in the way of me seeing them and who the hell knows about next year! They are one of those bands that are always one inch out of reach live for some crazy reason, the exception being when they played Lollapalooza. They played on a moderate bill and shitty venue here so i just skipped it. My bad.
I do go on. Wowee. Anyway, look forward to the new book and no pressure but just curious when/if the "Wowee..." 33 1/3 series book is coming out.
later, Dave.
