OMG I am beyond excited. I don't have an ounce of fear in my body, because this is something I've been dreaming about since I was little.

Anyone who knows me know I am an aviation freak. Aviation history doesn't interest me too much, and I'm not one of those people who can rattle off every single type of aircraft manufactured, but I'm all over everything else.

Let's see. I:

Made my mom take me to SYR all the time when I was little to watch the planes.
Promised my Uncle that I would take flying lessons when I was little.
Was an air traffic controller for several years
Did flight data with the FAA at at Oakland Center until I had to move to Japan :(,
Passed ground school,
Flew an aircraft for the first time while living in Japan,
Flew a Marine Corps AV-8 simulator,
Flew a Marine Corps CH-53 simulator,
Was a passenger in a CH-46 during a 1000' autorotation (a.k.a. WHEEEE!)
Played crew chief for a day on a VIP flight,
Changed the lavatory blue juice out for fresh stuff once. YUK!
Was a citizen volunteer for our Sheriff Dept's helicopter unit,
Worked as a baggage handler for United at SFO,
Taxied aircraft in the military and as a civilian,
Purposefully rented an apartment in San Mateo that had close/perfect view of SFO's approach corridor.
Dated a helicopter pilot when I was enlisted (lol...ssssh)
Refueled C-12s, and
Single-handedly organized the initial recovery efforts for the Osprey crash in NC in 2000 because no one else was in the base ops building at that moment.

I'm not bragging, just pointing out that jumping out of a perfectly good airplane is the next natural step. Once that's crossed off, the only thing left will be flying first class. I think I've done just about everything else there is to do with aviation besides from safety stuff, towing and mechanical stuff. When it comes to aviation, I can't get enough.

I really hope weather doesn't bar me from going through with this. I can't wait to post pics and stuff. I'll have a video too!
