I hate facebook too. No an iota of creativity in the whole place and there are all these applications-- goodness knows what they have in them-- they constantly want you to add to your profile. And commenting is a pain. And the thing automatically generates gossip.
Ewww, I really dislike it too!

I had someone contact me yesterday asking if I had multiple identities on here as well. I guess it wasn't-- they never gave me the urls-- just said the woman looked alot like me. That is bad enough, but adding all YOUR friends IS creepy.


Best case scenario: It is a she that simply wishes she was your gf, and wants to see what that would feel like.

That's a real bummer! There are some low-life ba*tards around! Can't say I'm particularly impressed with Facebook either. It just seems so naff and pointless.


Hope you're okay otherwise David. At least the football season is on its way back. Looking forward to the Rangers v Liverpool friendly at the weekend. I'm not going predict the score though - its usually the kiss of death if I do.

Not so good Dave,

I had someone hack my myspace site about 8 mths ago and covered my homepage with a lot of crap about viagra and also infiltrated most of my friends sites too, it caused a lot of grief I can tell you.

All I did was cancel my site and close it down then start from scratch, not very convenient but it solved the problem. I..m very vigilant these days.


I..d close your facebook down and stick with myspace

I have a Facebook page. I don’t use much either. It’s fun to see John’s or Mike’s new pics there or any Bulletins re Julian’s news etc. It also seems good for sharing Photos.

Or hearing that my niece is engaged - I hear family news first via Facebook!

I meet people on here who share my interest in music though. I can see Facebook as a good way to keep in touch – and wish it had exited when I lived in the States, and when I returned here. So easy to loose touch with friends and family who are far away .


I agree with Janice too I find Facebook rather silly too - nowhere to do a blog or proper webpage for my photos.


You think the world is too good David – check out the Dark Knight or the brilliant ‘The Wire’ DVDs! There are ‘agents of chaos’ who simply enjoy it.
Or ‘bored idiots’ - as another artist put it about her myspace page being hacked.


Ah nothing is as it seems on this matrix – yet having been on here the past years I begin to sense the real from the fake. I love and hate computers - mine is denying me access right now - am on Jim's laptop and can't access my photos.

I think I came across that page in the past, never asked to be a friend as I knew it probably wasn't her, but I never add people unless I definately know them, i keep face book for my personal friends only, not like my space where I add almost anyone.


Some things are so creepy, and to think you mates joined too, mmm scary!!!!!!
 

I have facebook and use it for keeping in touch with friends and family...who I just cant convince to come on here!! But it does piss me off!! all these 'so and so has just bought you' so and so wants to poke you/send you a gift/snog you!! Good heavens, I'm in my 50's! Its ok for kids, and networking but to be honest I love Myspace and I'm sticking here!! Not only that, since our son nagged us to join facebook I get about 400 emails a day in my junk filter!! So sorry to hear about your girlfriend David....but I guess it happens here too.

yeah i hate facebook to be honest, getting emails all the time telling you to add to your page is just annoying!

I had a facebook account, someone magaed to log in to my account, change the password and totally re-structure my whole profile.
They even stole the music I had uploaded!! BEWARE as facebook administrator would not even reply to my emails!

Now I never go to the site!
