Art Exhibition: The Pawn Shop Years (1995-2009)
A special retrospective exhibition showcasing the album jackets and vinyl encompasing 14 years of record releases from the legendary Detroit cult label Interdimensional Transmissions. All IT releases have been designed (or co-designed) by Brendan M Gillen, with photos and art contributed by guest artists. Some sleeves were hand screened, in fact Ron Zakrin even hand carved the print for his own “Stiletto” EP as Goudron. Musical artists represented on the over 20 colored vinyl records on display will include Ectomorph, Perspects, Alpha 606, I.B.M, I-f, Goudron and GD Luxxe. Music for the art opening provided by Erika (IT/Ectomorph/erika.net) and Ian Clark (Perspects). Special bacchanalian birthday celebration for IT founder BMG, IT artist Perspects and Detroit By Design Director Rich Rice.

Records to be displayed include original releases by:

Interdimensional Transmissions
An internationally acclaimed record label anchored in electronic music, that not only releases records, it releases milestones. From the visionary From Beyond Series that debuted I-f's "Space Invaders" to the world, to the early Ectomorph relics that still set the standard, IT leads where others follow.  Our artists include Ectomorph, Perspects, Alpha 606, Goudron, I-f, Electric Skin, I.B.M., and GD Luxxe. BMG
In addition to co founding the group Ectomorph, IT label head BMG is an accomplished world wide DJ, leading to a lasting collaboration with NYC punk funk legend Sal Principato of Liquid Liquid. Sal first joined BMG on stage during a DJ set in South Africa, followed by a guest appearance on an Ectomorph record. The project has grown into Electric Skin, whose debut single "Credit Card" is due imminently...

Scott Zacharias
A musically ambidextrous Detroit artist and co founder of Disco Secret, a weekly party celebrating obscure disco at Detroit leather bar The Eagle. He started in thrash bands as a teenager then moved on to space rock project Monaural. Since that era he has bloosmed into Detroit's best kept secret, a true student of freeform dance music.

Sal P
Cofounder of the legendary punk funk outfit Liquid Liquid, who pioneered a unique sound that has inspired everybody from Grandmaster Flash to DFA to Carl Craig. They have released on 99 Records, DFA, Mo Wax and Domino. Sal P first performed in Detroit in 2003 as part of Liquid Liquid, headlining the Underground Stage of the DEMF. Sal collaborates with BMG (and others) on the Electric Skin project.
