The plan in January was to play at least 2 gigs each month and there was plenty of renewed enthusiasm in the band. I am delighted to say that even at this point (July 2009) we have actually played more gigs than we did in the whole of 2008!
As ever - nothing goes to plan, but last night we played our full and complete set and it felt good.
Progress is slow for the live performance aspect of the new material, however, we remain optimistic. In putting the finishing touches to the recording, we are a step forward for the connecting spoken pieces we have for some of the tracks.
Not wanting to use our own voices, a poet and a gentleman has offered his services. He has a wonderful North American accent and is skilled in the art of reciting his own poetry with enviable ability. We hope to hear the first sample MP3s this month and all being well, that will be that. Once that is done, we shall throw ourselves into a hive of activity in getting the new work on here, out there, everywhere and uploaded wherever we can for review and your listening pleasure.
