Current mood:  working
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers

My ear is anticipating the next phone call - hopefully from a 212 area code.   i'm suddenly addicted to dice.com, and must have sent close to 500 custom resumes/coverletters by now and still going hard at it.  That was a little over a year Ago

I walked into my office for the first time on August 22 2005 to begin work as a software quality engineer for a highly profitable software company in the ATL.  Before that,  NYC was home, and i did random handyman type jobs - network support for cablevision, Product specialist (PCs) for circuit city, and my DJ Biz was yet to take off.  The first one and half yrs after graduation (may 2004) was disCouraging.  Every college grad anticipates that big paying job upon graduation.

It is encouraging to know that today could be really shitty, and tomorrow flips it around!.  Today marked one yr at my job, and i'm pleased to be here.  My DJ biz? - well i don't know if i'm household name just yet, but one thing is for sure - I'm gonna be the heavyweight champ in my division, with the fat ass belt by the time it's all said and done.

For all the grads/folks out there deligently looking - Never ease up, cos very soon - you'll be writing a tale with a better ending that this.  Goodluck!

Well you my .1 DJ in my book. Keep your head. Work is just a small incovienience we all have to pay in order to substain our standard of living. You know it's not what you know, BUT WHO you know. Trust I have learned that early on in my working career. Network, network, network. You're an awesome DJ. Keep your head up....things will change. Patience is a lost virtrue we all lack. :) Have a good day.
