It is with pleasure that we announce the rebirth of HAIL, a long dormant project helmed by Carl, who has also appeared on the WALDTEUFEL album Heimliches Deutschland. New activities are underway, culminating in a first slew of live performances later in May 2009. New recordings will be issued as well, in the form of limited hand made CDRs.

Available now is "Crimson Madrigal" the long lost demo recorded at the end of the millenium. This recording features Carl, Set Sothis Nox La (L'ACEPHALE), and Markus Wolff (WALDTEUFEL). One can safely say that its brew of bleak BM and progressive / experimental / psychedelic / folk excursions is both prophetic and timeless.  The CDR release comes in a pro printed cover and is limited to 93 copies, and is out on the FaunaSabbatha label, the same label responsible for releases by ECHTRA, SADASTOR, and others.

This May will see the first HAIL performances in seven years, the first one taking place at the 2009 NORTHWEST FOLKLIFE FESTIVAL in Seattle as part of the second BLACKENED CASCADIAN FOLK night. Appearing will be (in order):
