Who Gives Kudos:

when we get asked about influences people get techno, acid, rave and electro all mixed up. our sound fits between the chugging synth of chicago acid house and something more raw like the fucked up funk and electro factory records put out. this early techno was in the charts when i was a kid and it sounded fucking smart

the synth at the start of this track is the exact same sound from our track too good to be true. the bass sounds and percussive breaks are pretty close to ours too

french kiss has been one of my fav tracks since i was about 12. i bought the cassette of the album when i was on holiday in ireland with my brother and my dad in 1989. marie's synth is pretty close to historic chicago house. its kind of a coincidence cos our stuff is all midi'd up to the 303 so its always arpegiatted. the 303 rhythms are pretty up there too. the drums even sound like kris

pt2

all the factory stuff is amazing. we all love new order. kris's percussion owes a lot to stephen morris

a certain ratio and section 25 are soooo underrated

i saw the mondays when i was 13 and they were wicked. maybe this is the closest thing to pig out. we recently slowed our bpm's back down to 120ish for an older house groove
