San Miguel Primavera Sound se enorgullece al anunciar que, como parte de la celebración de su décimo aniversario, la legendaria banda americana Pavement encabezará el cartel el jueves 27 de mayo. El festival se celebrará los días 27, 28 y 29 de mayo.

Tras años de especulación, una de las bandas más importantes de los 90 vuelve a los escenarios con su formación más clásica: Mark Ibold, Scott "Spiral Stairs" Kannberg, Stephen Malkmus, Bob Nastanovich y Steve West. El grupo se reúne en el 2010 para pasear su directo por sitios como Nueva York, Londres, el festival ATP y Primavera Sound, la primera fecha confirmada en la Europa continental.

Junto a Nirvana, Pixies y Sonic Youth, Pavement están universalmente considerados como uno de los pilares del indie rock. Su discografía incluye los influyentes clásicos "Slanted and Enchanted" y "Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain".

Esta será la décima vez que el festival abrirá sus puertas a más de 150 artistas y a un público que ha ido creciendo con nosotros, en edad y en cantidad. En estos diez años han pasado por San Miguel Primavera Sound más de 800 artistas y bandas, cubriendo un gran número de estilos y sensibilidades dentro de lo que los que hacemos este festival entendemos como buena música: rock, pop, folk, punk, hardcore, metal, experimentación, electrónica... De Motörhead a Aphex Twin, de Pulp a Animal Collective, de Subterranean Kids a Gentle People. Una década en la que hemos intentado entregaros una radiografía del presente desde nuestra visión sin olvidarnos de los nombres clásicos que han influenciado a esas nuevas generaciones.

Hoy martes 27 de octubre podréis empezar a adquirir los abonos para San Miguel Primavera Sound 2010 a un precio de 95 € (+ gastos de distribución), este precio estará vigente hasta el 30 de noviembre. A partir del 1 de diciembre podréis comprar los abonos a un precio de 99 € (+ gastos de distribución).

After years of speculation, arguably the most important American band of the Nineties is returning to the stage with the line-up of Mark Ibold, Scott "Spiral Stairs" Kannberg, Stephen Malkmus, Bob Nastanovich and Steve West reuniting for dates around the world in 2010 including shows in New York, London, ATP UK and now Primavera Sound, which is the first date to be confirmed in mainland Europe.

In these ten years more than 800 artists and bands, have played at the San Miguel Primavera Sound, covering many different styles and tastes, all within what we who organise this festival consider to be good music: rock, pop, folk, punk, hardcore, metal, experimental, electronic... We have tried to give you an overview of this decade from our point of view without forgetting classical names that have influenced these new generations.

Today Tuesday 27th of October you will be able to buy the full festival tickets for the San Miguel Primavera Sound 2010 at the price of 95 euro (+ booking fee), this price will be valid until the 30th of November.  From the 1st December the price will be 99 euro (+ booking fee).
