AUTO TEST
PILOT is a club night as an artwork; lunging from the polished
murk of performance/live art and arriving with a star spangled splatter on the
windscreen of car crash entertainment. Artists, Mike ChavezDawson and Len
Horsey have been running a successful night in Manchester hosting evenings of
Performance for over a year, and now the club night as an artwork
becomesa travelling coach tour as an artwork. Four cities over seven
days.

The tour brings together 15 performers that have
made a significant contribution to the exposure and accessibility of audio
performance orientated art in the North West of England. The 2006 tour is the
first in what is to become an annual event.

The artists on the coach have a chequered history
of notoriety and artist accomplishments. Most of them prefer to use alter
egos

Ed Barton is a
mixed media balancing balladeer extracting joy from tragedy with music,
drawings, tales and dance.

Robin NatureBold & Band(ism) We
aim for a Punk-Folk theatrical Art-Rock sound though we could also class it
as arty pop with edgy edges.

Norman Clayture size=3>creates a dialogue between performers, audience and location/space.
This is achieved by wearing wooden underpants and singing
cartoons.

Lord Mongo gives
us cardboard masks, hooves and a band of rogues to help create a soundscape of
deeply hypnotic, swirling miasmic sonorousness, over which he shrieks his
declamations.

The Suns of Potto size=3>sound is miraculously crafted into crude and beautiful diachronic
four-dimensional vibrating sculptural form of interpenetrating exploding
balls!

Mr Thompson is a
singing, musical sound artist, combining vocal athletics with machine
aesthetics. He mixes improvised elements range from unaccompanied singing to
fully blown operatic grandeur.

Very Special Guests face=Arial>will be joining the melange.
