why is it not alright to text 'ok'?

when i reply to my punk rock princess kid with ok i get told off.

she says its a waste of a text.

she texts 'i'll be home at such a time' i reply 'ok'

its not good enough. if i replied 'no f***ing way' it would cause a row, if i said 'i want to know where you are, who your with, their parents names and addressess' would that help?

ok is easy, simple, i know where the keys are, its quick, i can even do it while driving (no i dont of course)

what can i do, i try to be laid back, i try to be easy going and 'cool' but i cant win.

there should be a parents 'ok' society

i know im not the only one, i ve heard other kids complain

what would you like us to say?

'yes thats fine dear, make sure you're home by 9 and dont talk to strangers, ok?'
