Who doesn’t love THE GODFATHER movie?  Sure, it’s definitely one of the greatest movies of all time.  Only one thing could make it better: IF IT WAS MORE AWESOME!!

That’s why I’m remaking the classic film THE GODFATHER with a new, hip young cast, and some cool new storyline twists that will appeal to today’s ‘Tween market – as well as everyone else!

You can read all about my new and interesting take on a classic and my cast of HIP 'TWEEN STARS exclusively at JamesGunn.com.  Check out the article
HERE.

While you're at JamesGunn.com you can also check out our List of All-Time Best Comedy Clips Available on YouTube, Parts ONE and TWO and lots of other exclusive blogs.

Make sure you get a nice chunk of LOLspeak in that narrative!

This might make my reimagining of 'Cocoon' with a hot WB cast go down like gangbusters..

Okay....allow me to rephrase what I said. I can't believe the amount of time you have on your hands to make up funny stuff like this. After fully reading the article, I was laughing at the hilarity that some madman made up. THIS would have been a REALLY good April Fool's Day joke...but it's a few days late....hmmmmm....

haha! Hopefully it will air as a "Disney Channel Original Movie" (or do they call it an "Original Event" now?) following a three-day, 24-hour Hannah Montana marathon.

You have been blogging a lot lately. I cannot keep up! I'll admit I skimmed, but enough to get the joke.
When I have the time to read every word of the entire blog, and the other blogs you posted last week, I'll post a better comment on jg.com.

that kinda reminds me of Bugsy Malone with Scott Baio and Jody Foster.

Since the blog over there is spazzing out and I can't seem to comment, I'll say it here. I don't know what's more disturbing: 1. the idea of re-making the Godfather with Tweens or 2. The fact that you're so familiar with them.

I have to disagree with one of your casting choices, though...Peter Clemenza should be played by Cheech Marin and try to sneak in a cameo by Tommy Chong. I think a film like this is screaming for it.

Regardless, I think it would make a pretty brilliant webseries.

I'm going to assume your blog was inspired by the fiasco in the making that is the "Bonnie and Clyde" remake starring Hillary Duff as Bonnie. I was on pain medication when I heard about this atrocity and thought "I must be hallucinating because there's no way anyone is dumb enough to say 'Hey! I have a great idea! Let's do a remake of a classic movie about the violent exploits of a notorious criminal couple and their gang AND let's market it towards the "High School Musical" set!'" The only thing I'm looking forward to with this disaster is the critics rippind it to shreds, especially since Duff has been such a bitchy little snot about Faye Dunaway's understandable displeasure with the casting.

No, it's not inspired by that. It was a Tweet I posted one day that got a lot of attention, so I thought I'd take it all the way. And, in Bonnie & Clyde's defense (which I didn't even know existed until I researched this blog), I don't think it's so much a remake as a retelling of the B&C story, which is fine. AND Hillary Duff is supposed to be a nice girl, and Faye Dunaway is famous as being one of the biggest, most abusive bitches in the history of film, so I'll have to side with Duff on this one.

...oh jesus are you sure about this?

As an illustrator of my calibre, and I'm pretty freaking good at this point, I would NEVER consider remaking classic 1930's art, or even 1980's until I'm good and ready.

You are fucking awesome with referential shit and I can't say much since I only seem to post retarded music videos, but I guess I have my reservations considering that Hollywood wants to make money and Godfather is a moneymaker. The problem there is that the heart's not in the right place anymore.

As an artist I'll definitely trust what you have in mind but make sure it's with an artist's intent.
Otherwise this reeks of a career killer (see: the Hitcher)

Yes, as above, I think you should read the whole blog. Also, the Hitcher was only a career killer (if it was, which I doubt) because it sucked (and bombed). Dawn of the Dead was certainly more of a sacred cow and it didn't hurt either me or Zack.

...But...

...but...!!!

Dawn of the Dead is in its own category. It's one of those campy movies that you make popcorn for and sit around and snicker at because 'lolz zombiez omg'. And believe me, I loved the Dawn of the Dead remake-- moreso than most of the 'purist' guys I hung out with did.

I dunno, maybe 'lolz zombiez' might not be that different from 'lolz gangsters' and its been pointed out to me that that's probably not a bad thing with your ability to write witty dialogue.

SO WE SHALL SEE, Mr. Gunn. I wish you well in your ventures all the same.

Hilarious James (seriously, that wasn't sarcasm). I did read the entire article, and Jason Alexander is a dead ringer, ha, he could use a break from Texas Hold 'Em.
I take it you're not looking forward to the upcoming STAR TREK with Simon Pegg?

And here's a video for you (might take a bit to load, but it's worth it):

Not to sound rude, but only to clarify. The video posted is of Family Guy and pertains to the blog topic of The Godfather. Furthermore, I have nothing to do with the show Family Guy. My apologies for any confusion as to why the video was posted.
