Dear CigDiggers,
Well it's been a seemingly fast summer. We had a great time doing all of the festivals and fairs. It is especially inspiring to see all of the new young fans that are attending shows. Thanks!
As fall approaches what do we do now? Well, rumor is that we're starting to think about a new CD. Word is yes. The writing process is going on as you read this CigDig. We hope to start recording sometime this fall and continue through the winter. I'm excited to get a new Clarks release out in '08. Keep your ears opened for some new songs getting "beta tested" in our shows toward the end of the year.

Hey All,
Rob here...Hope your summer was a good one. The band has been rather busy as of lately, playing some pretty amazing gigs. Thanks to all of you who attended. A couple of highlights...PNC Park...really loads of fun, mind-blowingly cool. I was pretty overwhelmed when I let myself think about exactly where we were and lost concentration a few times. That gig ranks up there with some of the coolest gig experiences I've ever had.
Another really great experience was getting to play with our heroes, The Hoodoo Gurus, in Philadelphia. The Clarks have covered quite a few Gurus songs over the years, maybe the most of any single band. Needless to say, these guys have been a huge influence on the band. I know many of you have never heard of them, but I strongly urge you to check out their stuff, most of which is available on iTunes. I think you'll connect the dots between us and them immediately. I'm lobbying for a Gurus/Clarks tour next summer. Maybe they'll ask us to come and hang with them in Australia...yeah right. Butler County Fair, Fayette County Fair, Mt. Pleasant Glass Festival, Post Gazette Pavilion...lots of great gigs and the weather was way cooperative...except for Youngstown, but we had a great crowd there...thanks for standing in the rain!!! Hopefully we'll see you all again next year.
We've got some geat shows lined-up for the Fall into the Winter so please keep checking the sites for info. Hopefully we'll be playing some new songs very soon. I'm looking forward to breaking in some new music at the shows before we get to the studio. I've had such a great time playing "Church of the Open Highway" from Scott's disc. I can't wait to dig in. I might be opening a can of worms here, but I'd like to know what you think...Are there any songs from the Clarks back-catalog you'd like to hear at the shows? Please come to my myspace page and let me know.

* New Clarks Fall & Winter Headline Tour Dates Announced & On Pre-Sale NOW!
The Clarks will be returning to some of their favorite cities including Cleveland , Columbus , and New York - all shows are on pre-sale now at The Clarks Fan Ticketing site . At the end of October, The Clarks will be performing in Pittsburgh , PA . They will also hit up Indiana , PA for a two night run of fun at the Indiana Theater. Last but not least, The Clarks will be showing Ohio some love with three performances in Columbus, Cincinnatti, and in Cleveland .
While you get your holiday shopping started, check out some of the early winter shows at the Rechter Theater in Towson , MD. How can you resist the Big Apple at The Blender Theatre at Gramercy? Last but not least, they will be apprearing on the grandious stage at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia , PA.
