n September / October & November 2008 i will be doing a residency in Beijing, China. My 3 month project will be to form a band with local Chinese musicians, record an album and tour.

For the band I'm hoping to find a pianist and a drummer (although will consider other arrangements based on the talents I meet) to work with to form a rhythm section which i can play with in unison as well as play free form noise over. I'm envisioning jarring off beat staccato type arrangements which i hope to compose with the musicians during the first two months improvisation / composition and recording period.

For the last month I plan to release the recordings collaboratively with SUBJAM and my own label dualpLOVER before taking the band on tour in China and if possible (VISA's pending) Korea and Japan (and eventually Australia).

At this planning stage I'd like to hear from Chinese Musicians that may be interested in joining me in the project and promoters around China that would be interested in booking the act in November.
