Thnaks so much to everybody who came out for the first ever GeezerFest at the Crocodile Cafe. We saw many many old friends (some older than others, i.e. "Geezers"). One of them said "this is just like a high school reunion". Fact is, one us just WENT to our high school reunion, and as nice as it was to see some of those old friends, the people at GeezerFest were the ones we chose to hang out with. It's always a joy to play at the Crocodile because of the sound system, as managed by Jim Anderson. Other clubs do an admirable job of making things sound good out in front, but the Croc is the one place where equal-if-not-greater consideration is given to making things sound great on-stage, even back where the drummer sits...when things sound great on stage, musicians play better. Jim's been doing sound for us off-and-on since the 80's, back in the Room Nine days, when he ran the system at Seattle's legendary Central Tavern. Always a pleasure. If only we could play the Croc more often....WTF?
Love to all,
DWP
