Okay so I'm in New Orleans now. Got here on Wed. May 31st - a 8 hour trip that I turned into 7! I rented a nice Chevy Impala and made very good use of the "impala" part. I have to say that it is very difficult 4 me 2 type rite now, being that as soon as i got here i had 2 go 2 the nail shop and get these long sculptured nails put on. i NEVER get manicured nails so i practically had 2 hav evrything done 4 me at first. then i had 2 own my character and say  2 myself as dot: "you know what? i get these done all the time, so love the nails, own the nails, learn how to use them." and i been learning since then how to do stuff on my own. i learned when putting on jeans u have 2 zip 1st then button- it's just easier that way. and i hav 2 type w/ the actual nail, not my finger so pardon any typos. but fantasia loved my nails. who, by the way is hella down 2 earth. we shot yesterday, deep in the ghetto of new orleans. it was easy to find motivation at the nail shop and just around downtown new orleans (where i'm staying) in general. the hotel is nice. me and some of the other actresses were put in the marriott. but like i was saying about the shoot- it was in the projects. wardrobe and hair did a great job on my appearance. i fit right in with the ghetto 'do and booty shorts (which were actually my own I hav 2 admit I just dont wear them often.) The catering was off the chain. 4 breakfast i had a breakfast sandwich with turkey bacon. i couldnt  believe he actually had turkey bacon and turkey sausage! And 4 lunch i had the tilapia and some veggie rice with chicken in it and garlic butter russet potatoes. absolutely delicious. we did the first 2 scenes easy. we had to wait 4 trains and clouds 2 pass, but the card game scene  was fun, after debbie gave us a crash course on playing bid whist. oh yeah, i forgot 2 say i had my own TRAILER! small in size maybe but not in importance. it said "dot" on the outside. that was a highlight. anyway i'm gonna close here and try to add some pics. u can definitely tell katrina's been here as u go around the city so i'll plan 2 take photos of that as well while i'm here. i have 2day off so we might do som siteseeing. more blog 2 come...
