Hey there--
The film is done! Just keep checking the dates listed on our myspace for a screening near you. If you don't see anything in your area, maybe you can help organize something wherever you are.
Thanks!!
Vanessa

Hallo Vanessa

I am a Dutch musicjournalist. I wrote the article 'Hiphop is alive on Cuba', based on interviews I did in 2001 during the Habana Hiphopfestival in Alamar (with Alexey Rodriguez of Obsesión and Kokino of Anonimo Consejo) and on an interview I did with the rapcrew Máxima Alerta from Santa Clara.
I write for a Dutch onlinehiphopmagazine-www.statemagazine.nl. I wrote for them about hiphop and reggaetón on Cuba.
I am very interested in this documentary, to make a review about it. What I saw on the trailer, looked very good, it's like it is on Cuba and hiphop is still developing in different ways there, also in the reggaetón way.
If you are interested I can mail you the articles. One of them: 'Reggaeton a lo Cubano: from Cuba to the rest of the world' is published on this site: http://laritmo.com (under 'Features'). This article not only deals about Havana but also about Santa Clara and Santiago de Cuba where a vivid reggaetónscene is alive.
I can mail you the article 'Hiphop is alive on Cuba'.
