wed nov 5:we had our traditional taco bell dinner before leaving on tour. it was quite delicious, but as always, jimmy raised a fuss about his cheese portion. we got really high afterwards. we can't take any drugs on this tour because me and jimmy are on probation. this just gives us license to cause way more trouble than we usually do.
we got to frankfort early so we played some guitar hero at brandon's house and then wandered around downtown a little bit. since no one came to the show we set up across the street from a bar downtown and played. a few people watched. the cops didn't seem to mind. we played our entire set without getting shut down. i was actually a little bit disappointed that the cops didnt come.

after the show we watched willow and fell asleep in each other's arms.

thur nov 6:we ate at anybody's cafe this morning. i give it a 6. the eggs and sausage was good. the biscuits were excellent. the hash browns were sub par. and the coffee was weak.

on the way to bowling green we got stuck in traffic for a half hour. there was a gruesome wreck and the whole road was blocked. we still made it to bowling green about 4 hours early. we became very confused because of daylight savings time added to a time zone change. im still not really sure what time it is. matt and bishop went skating while me and jimmy did a rock parade downtown.
we played at the bread and bagel. i drank very good free coffee. then i tried one of their fancy blends and it wasn't so good. steven and the ghosts played first. steven played guitar and brittany played cello. im sorry brittany if i continue to spell your name wrong. brittany.

we played second. introduced an old song that we havent played in over a year. people clapped after our songs, so i dont think we played too terribly. pineapple explode played last, they were just a duo this time. it was amazingly excellent as always. they didnt play enough songs though. we burned it to nashville after the show and i went immediately to sleep. im on the 3rd day of a headache and things are getting interesting...

fri nov 7we spent a lot of time being lazy today. me and jimmy and matt did some jamz with pineapple explode and zack from phonoluxe. in the afternoon we ate some weiners. as always our nashville show was beyond awesome. some of the coolest dudes we know are from nashville, and every band we've ever played with from there has been amazing. phonoluxe opened the show with some stoner rock shitz with synths. we played second.

looks like a snake played after us. they had some technical difficulties, but that didn't stop them from rocking my boner.

and pineapple explode played last. once again they were a duo and played a short set. they left us craving more.

we had to go to sleep early for the next day's heinous drive. i think someone tried to crowbar our back hatch during the night, but thankfully they were unsuccessful.

sat nov 8after a long drive we got to warren wilson college and immediately ate some home cooked pizza, courtesy of gena. it was very delicious and warmed our boners.

not a lot of people came to the show but those who did were very nice to us. the student activity crew helped us load equipment in and made us feel like bloated rock stars. we sold one cd for 20 guatemalen quetzales. i don't know how much that is in american money. there was some kind of wild party going on that night, but we just stayed at gena's and watched taxi driver.

sun nov 9we had a long leisurely day in athens ga. there wasn't a whole lot to do, but we had fun just walking around and doing stupid shit. me and jimmy set up in front of the 40 watt club and made some noises. our show at the secret squirrel didnt start until 1:30 in the morning with everything now playing first. i was really glad to play with these dudes. we know their bass player eric really well, he used to live in bloomington for a while.

we didn't go on until around 2:30. somehow people stuck around. it was a way awesome show, a million times better than we expected.

we sold some cds and made some money from the keg. at this point i think we are about $100 up, which is amazing to me. we usually lose a shit load of money on tours. im really glad our country is going to hell and we get to travel around with cheap gas prices and people looking to escape their misery by going to shows. its been a really good tour so far, and all we can expect is for it to go really really bad from here on out. if you don't here from us again it is because we were eaten by rednecks in south carolina...

mon nov 10jimmy had a rough day today. some alcoholic piece of shit passed out at the secret squirrel with a head wound. him and jimmy were the only ones sleeping in the venue (jimmy slept there to guard our shit). the drunk dude kept writhing in pain and moaning all night long. he kept trying to get up but always fell back down straight on his dome. then at some point he pulled down his pants and pissed on the rug that jimmy was sleeping on. luckily jimmy was awake and able to avoid any contact with urine. luckily for the drunk dude no piss hit our equipment. that guy is very lucky i wasnt awake at the time. i have no tolerance for idiots who can't hold their liquor. someone should beat the shit out of him every time he picks up a bottle. really.
all of this drama didn't tarnish our opinion of the secret squirrel folks though. they have been some of the nicest dudes we've met on any tour, and we hope to come back and play for them again.
we were supposed to play in charlotte nc today but our show got cancelled because some lazy jerk didn't book any local bands. but a most amazing thing happened. everything now got us on to their show in greenville sc. they are the nicest dudes of all. we got to greenville early and checked out an awesome waterfall. we hung out at r3v3rb for a couple of hours doing stupid shit like we always do. no one really came to the show, but we had a good time anyway. don, the owner, was really nice to us and brought in carpets for us to sleep on. he even offered to buy food, but we ate at taco bell instead.

tomorrow is a day off. we have no idea what to do, but it might involve causing a lot of trouble. see ya in jail...

tue nov 11in honor of our heroic veterans we didn't play a show today. instead we sat on our fat asses in a motel room watching cable tv and eating hungry howie's pizza (and talking shit about the troops).
wed nov 12we had a lot of time to explore columbia sc today. we went to the library for a while. then we ate at the worst kfc ever. the lady running the register was really rude and she didnt wash her hands before making food! and she wouldn't give us cups for water. that's ok, bishop gave them an upper decker.
we went to the river to hang out for a while until a cop showed up. we werent exactly doing anything wrong but decided to leave anyway since cops are dicks.

desiree had tacos for us when we got to her house. venison, black beans, cheese, tomatoes, fresh jalepenos, and sauteed mushroom and onion. it was good enough to make me poop.
our show was at a different house on the other side of the river. there was some punks with spikes there, and we thought the show might go badly since we play quiet music, but it turned out really good. people liked us and we sold a couple of cds.
thu nov 13we had to wake up really early because desiree runs home school out of her house and we couldn't be around for that. so we went and got some coffee and came back at a more opportune time. we hung out in the back yard for a long time shooting arrows at a target, and missing most of the time.

we left around noon for chapel hill. we got lost on the way trying to find taco bell and found one hell of a redneck heaven of a race track. when we finally found the taco bell it turned out to be the fanciest taco bell we had ever seen! there was a large fish tank on the counter with elaborate rocks and plants and maybe 10 or more fish inside. the hot sauces were being held by sculptures of hindu elephant gods. the place was huge and immaculate.
we got to chapel hill a few hours early and cheesed out on some 007 for the nintendo 64. philip and joe had a very awesome collection of game systems and games.
the show finally started around 10pm with whatever brains going first. we played second.

some chuckleheads were talking real loud but i told them to shut the fuck up.

the show was pretty good overall. we only sold one cd, but that's one more than the other two times we've played in chapel hill. the bonus was this guy that hooked up a $50 shell gas card and two $40 prepaid debit cards! i dont think we will have to pay for anything else on this tour with our own money. i don't wanna give this guy's name over the internet, cause im not sure if this was a shady transaction or not, but you know who you are. thanks for the serious skrill. we topped off the night with some mega man x2. i slept in the van cause joe was being a chucklehead.

fri nov 14on the drive to lynchburg matt had to pee a lot. at one point we couldn't find a place to pee and matt became enraged. we got to lynchburg around 7. matt and bishop tried to skate for awhile but the skate park was lame and the roads were extremely hilly. they came back all sweaty and worn out. a shit load of people came to the show but 90% of them left after the first band. none of the band even stuck around to hear us. oh well. we don't want to play for assholes like that anyway.

the people that did stick around were aewsome for wanting to check out new music. we stopped for pizza before heading back to blair's place. he told us about the cultish christian community in lynchburg and how he's trying to bring good bands in to play at his record store. we hope to come back and play again soon.

sun nov 16final show of the tour in athens ohio. we picked a bad time to come because it is finals week here. there wasn't really anyone at the show because of this.

we tried to play a really good set anyway and i think it was the best we've played all tour. so all you college chuckleheads missed out. just to let you know, college is complete and utter bullshit and you're just wasting a lot of money.
after the show we smoked some spliffs and crashed out. tomorrow we get to go back home...
