I haven't been spamming as much recently, so I'm not sure if everyone knows that I make a significant effort to provide live recordings for download on myosound.com. I do this because 1) this music is very live and improvised; there are many moments which happen live which will never show themselves in a "studio" album. 2) many artists that I now enjoy I found by downloading their live recordings that were posted on mailing lists, etc. aside from providing new music to enjoy, it opens up a much more intimate relationship with the artist than just a consumer model.
