Wow. It's crazy to think that it's been a year since I posted that last blog. Wild! So here's a recap and a rundown of what's shaking with all of us.
First off- Johnny got married back in the spring! Josh and Matt are the only single (as in not officially married yet) boyzzz left. Johnny bought a house that I hear is super-awesome, and is working to make those big dollars so he can get some sweet rims for his Jetta.
Joe is selling drum kits and teaching other kids how to play blast beats and that Hope Conspiracy intro off of the "Endnote" record. He joined myspace this year, which believe me, is a HUGE step for Joe. It's awesome. You can go there to see photos of his two massive dogs, Ivan and Vladi. They're some huggable dudes.
Matthew Stephen Harrison died this year.
Kidding. Matt is working hard, and bought a sweet house this year. He got his Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier fixed finally this year, which made him really happy. He's got that brutal tone he's always dreamt of.
Josh moved to the Chapel Hill area of NC this year. I am extremely jealous of him. He recorded some solo stuff which WAS on his myspace page (maybe he'll put it back up soon), and also recorded a new record with Classic Case. He did the record with Page Hamilton, who totally shreds. I'm jealous of him for that too. While I'm at it, I've been jealous of his ability to grow real facial hair for about the past 4 years too.
Shane Small is currently a merchandising technician for Between the Buried and Me. He was last seen on the Radio Rebellion Tour that spanned the country. Other than that, he's probably just been lurking around.
I'm currently working for Anthropologie. For those of you who don't know, it's a store targeted towards rich women..ha. We sale anything from shoes to chandeliers. It's crazy. It pays my bills though. Married life is the best ever. My wife Amanda is my best friend. I do miss Josh, Johnny, Matt, and Joe tons though. I'll get to see them in a week or so, but I never get to see them as much as I'd like. I recorded a Dead Poetic record this year, and got to work with two really cool dudes on it. Working with Chino Moreno from Deftones/Team Sleep was a crazy experience, and getting to work with Aaron Sprinkle ruled too. I would absolutely love to work with Aaron again. Maybe one day, we'll form an all-star country band..ha.
Beloved still means the world to me. I listen to our record three or four times a week while I'm running. It doesn't get old to me. The stars will allign one day, and we'll make the most incredible record that's ever been recorded.
Seriously, thank you to anyone who actually reads this, or comments on our page, or who sends us messages. To think that people still think of us or the times we shared means the world. We're five dudes and a Shane from NC who just wanted to hang out and cover a Zao song. So thank you so so much for helping us to feel like we were so much more than that!
