Last night, I joined Marie Haddad at Humphrey's Backstage Lounge to sing "Xanadu" in front of an audience filled with people who'd just come from seeing Hall & Oates. I thought it'd be funny to quiet the bar (who were talking loudly) and proclaim that John Oates is the real genius behind the band (with a ton of sarcasm and one four letter word). I've never been so wrong in my life. Sorry, Marie. Seriously. I actually just sent a letter of apology to the booking manager and you know I'm not much of one to regret things I say on the mic. As the crowd exited by me, people commented on how rude I was and one woman asked my first and last name. This morning, I was fired from my job via text message. Coincidence? I think not. I do, however, think I need a job.....and that John Oates' moustache rocks. Sorry again, Marie.

I'm not kidding. I really did get fired via text message this morning. Anyone else wanna catch the 1pm showing of This Is England at Hillcrest Cinema with me & Molly?

Holy shit, apparently those Hall & Oats fans don't have a sense of humor. It's the attack of the soft rock fans...

You mean to tell me that John Oates ISN'T the musical genius behind Hall & Oates? One listen to Daryl Hall's solo LP Sacred Songs convinced me otherwise. http://wc05.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:kzfixq85ldde

Daryl Hall is clearly the Andrew Ridgely of the duo. Or maybe even the Chris Lowe.

I am sorry to hear this. Is this true?

That is some stupid shit to get fired over.

Best of luck.

Big hugs!

Davey

Sure, my employees work overtime. I suspect they do this out of necessity since I cut wages by up to forty percent, ended flexible spending and safety regulations, and eliminated jobs. It had been brought to my attention that certain workers were being unfairly compensated; some were earning almost as much as Mustafio. So the party is over.

I still prefer the "Yacht Rock" Hall & Oates.
