well those things are certainly biodegradeable...eggshells are definately compost material, though I have a distinct memory of my grade 3 school teacher complaining that eggshells in the compost made her garden smell bad. We never had that problem though.
By Jewish law, you are supposed to bury any dead body parts - that includes toenails!
