Who Gives Kudos:

wow, just touched back to my yard, tired and sweaty, fresh off the train from Liverpool. Last night a little piece of music history went down in the Olympia, an old theater in Liverpool. Daman Alban (Blur, Gorillaz) invited 126 musicians from across the UK and Africa to come and jam on stage, no rehearsing, no routines, just throw together a bunch of talented musicians and see what happens.
My first jam on stage was with Hard-Fi and some of the Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly Band, doing a mad hip-hop remix of 'Hard to Beat'. After that it was on a Gorillaz remix with Daman, his singer Rosie Wilson, Bashy and Scratch, the ledgendary beatboxer from the Roots (USA). A nuts combination, but the next one was the illest combo, a remix of Gnarls Barckley 'Crazy' with Terri Walker, Daman, Kano, Scratch, Bashy, Son of Dave (Harmonica & Beatbox), Tony Allen (Feli Kuti's drummer), my boy Last Skeptik on the cuts and an Angolan Legend by the name of Rashi Tahaa (hope i've spelt his name right, he was incredible) and another amazing, amazing singer, Baaba Maal from Mali. A truly unique moment and something i feel blessed to be a part of. The last spot was at 3am after 7 hours of non stop jamming, everyone was so tired but I managed to jump on with Martina Topley-Bird, a really lovely singer with an incredible voice. A beautiful ending to a beautiful night.

Much love to all the beautiful people i met, there were no ego's, just good vibes. Special love to the Magic Numbers, Eliza Doolittle and Flash Louie, Reverend and the Makers, Franz Ferdinand, Elmore Judd, Shlomo and all the roadies and sound engineers and everyone who made it happen..

I'm gonna post up some photos from the night, if you have any, post em up on here and let me know what your favorite part of the night was..

much much much love

Already noticed one criminal spelling mistake..

I spelt it Rashi Tahaa, his real name is, RACHID TAHA, the man the Independent dubbed "the Algerian-French king of rebel rai, dressed and moving like a Forties Casbah gangster"

heavy.

i can understand why you were tired and sweaty, thats a long train ride to be sitting in the toilet with the door locked while the conductor bangs away on the door, Skrein in tears on the other side; 'go away im having a shit you bastard'...

sounds siicckkk bro.. there should be more events like this,

any word from the lady we made that proposal to a while back??
