I really enjoyed the Blue Plate Special today. Thanks so much for inviting me and reminding me. I got in there a few minutes after they started playing and grabbed a sandwich and stood at one of the tables in the back of the room to watch. Several of my friends from different contexts came in.... I saw a gal from my yoga class, several of the girls I dance with at Circle Modern Dance classes, and of course, you guys. About ten minutes in to the show there was an older gentleman who came in with a walker. He propped himself, walker aside, against a post near the back of the room and began to sway with the music. I couldn't help but watch him. By the time it was over he was dancing wildly and tapping his feet to the beat and had a cup of ice balancing on top of his head, bobbing around to the beat. I mentioned to the lady next to me.... and to Ajeet... that it looked like he had been miraculously healed. After the show was over I made my way to the front and bought a cd and went in to the bathroom. As life would have it I exited the lady's room at the same time this gentleman was leaving the men's room. I commented that for a guy with a walker he sure was dancing pretty good out there. He explained to me that he has Parkinsons Disease and that certain music is the magic pill that brings him out of it for a short while. He says he listens to music every chance he gets just so he can experience feeling normal again. I thought you'd appreciate this amazing power of dance being the dancers that you are and the power you know is within.

Love and Blessings
