The Nashville Rollergirls home season starts on June 20 with a classic rematch of the league’s two original teams, the Assault Rivals versus the Damsels of Distress.  Last year’s contest ended with a ONE POINT victory for the Rivals, in one of the toughest bouts of the season.  This year, with some veterans having moved on, and a host of new skaters, the competition will be just as fierce.

The Nashville Rollergirls, like most flat track derby leagues, have two official seasons each year. The first is the Travel season, in which the Nashville Rollergirls All Stars and Brawl Stars compete against teams from other leagues and other cities. The second is the
Home season, in which league members battle it out with each other for the right to be called the best in the city. The Nashville Rollergirls have three home teams that are set to compete against each other this summer, the Assault Rivals, the Damsels of Distress and the X Pistols.

Each eligible skater in the league is placed on one of the three teams, with each team having between 8 and 10 skaters total. To round out the rosters to the full 14 allowed for competition and to supplement for injured or otherwise incapacitated skaters, NRG will be
bringing in stars from other leagues like Louisville, Evansville, and Atlanta. The ladies know all of each other’s strengths and weaknesses and use every bit of strategy and athleticism to show their fellow league members and the Nashville fans who really rules the track!
