Hip-Hop lost a true legend.

 

i wanted to leave this up here because this story is my favorite cam story and it just shows so much about the type of dood cammy was....

this one time when camu and i were both down to our last couple of bucks he called my phone and was like "bluntz....i got 2 dollars...u got 2 dollars....lets pool our money and hit up popeyes son! ... u comin to pick me up....see u in a minute..." of course i laughed...but if you know cam you know i didnt really have a choice .... anyway....me and cam end up at this popeyes in bedstuy at like 1145 on a sunday night....im at the window ordering our shared 6 piece meal and i feel this tap on my shoulder....i turn around and this thugged out dood in a bomber jacket and skully is like right in my face....i was like whoooaaaa....then i noticed homeboys light blue contacts and funny purple t-shirt...so hes like "oooh im sorry....i didnt mean to frighten u blueyes...i was just wondering if you were here with someone...." like we were in the club or something....so in shock im like .... uuuuuhhhhh yeeeeaaaaah......that dood...and point at mu.....mu looks at this dood and gives him the limp wave and heeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaay.....dood is like "oh thats just too bad" and walks out....

so as we are leavin and laughing hysterically....i turn to cam and im like "yo...why do all the homothugs run up on me like that?" he thinks for one second and goes/...."scotty bluntz....its cause you gots a nice face!!" i just started laughing so damn hard i couldnt breathe.....and all night this dood mu is sayin that over and over crackin me up....

my point is cam was the type of cat who could make being broke fun....he found a way to make the worst situations great.....and thats just one of the reasons why i loved homey.....and i will miss him more than i can say....

even just reading what people have said, like the story below makes me smile, until i realise you're gone man.


i loved blasting yer music through the house whilst i tidied up and sung along.

You influenced a wee 17 year old from scotland more than you could ever know Camu!

And I know you'd hate for everyone to be so shocked and heartbroken but it's hard knowing such an influential, tallented young man is all of a sudden gone forever.
