Innocence is not always a good quality

I don't know if you're like me, but ever since Michael Jackson passed away, I have been really curious to know the truth.

I don't think there has ever been anyone more misrepresented in human history than Michael Jackson. He said in an interview that '99.9% of what's written about me is not true.' He said this long before he ever went on trial.

After he was found 'not guilty' of the 10 charges, he was still treated as if he was guilty by the media. Forced to leave the country, to go to Bahrain, like a bird tossed out of its nest, never to return to Neverland again.

I wondered: 'well if he's innocent of the trial charges, what about the 1993 case where there was a settlement..'

When Aphrodite Jones went to numerous publishers, nobody wanted to publish a pro Jackson book, a book that would tell the truth about the trial. She actually had to self publish.

"In this world there are facts, and there are opinions. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but not to their own facts." Senator Patrick Moynihan.

I cannot tell you what a relief it is to read a truthful book about Michael Jackson. The further you get into this book, the more you realise how Michael was not only not guilty but truly had the innocence and nature of a 10 year old child.

This naivete made him easy prey for a predatory reporter such as Bashir, who got a career making opportunity to film a documentary for free only to taint it with his own duplicity, sinister interpretation and innuendo. He reputedly sold the documentary to ABC for $7 million, and got a job as anchor, destroying MJ in the process without a second thought. After all, would a pedophile invite a camera crew into his home, and admit to sharing a bedroom with 10 year old kids. If children were abused, would there not be an immediate change in their behavior. Would their parents also staying at the house not notice this?

No.. Pedophiles act out of compulsion, cannot control themselves, and usually have hundreds of victims.

This naivete made him easy prey for the Arvizos who did the round of other celebrities such as Chris Tucker, George Lopez, and even Jay Leno looking for a handout. These guys got wiser sooner.

Among the many revelations in this book: The Arvizos deny on four separate occasions after the Bashir documentary that any molestation ever took place, on audio tape, on a rebuttal video, to DCFS workers, and to Gavin Arvizo's school principal.

Only after visiting the same civil attorney used in the 1993 case, after all this did Arvizo make a final return to Neverland. It is then he alleges the incident happened. Under cross examination, it is established that if Arvizo got a criminal conviction, he could sue MJ in a civil action until he was 18.

In the trial, the 1993 evidence was introduced. Jordan Chandler refused to testify against Michael Jackson. His mother did appear as a witness and surprisingly said she never had any qualms about her son being around Michael Jackson.

Janet Arvizo gave wild and wacky testimony, alleging that MJ conspired to keep her family captive at Neverland, and that he planned to abduct her son. Meanwhile she charges thousands of dollars for beauty treatments on the Neverland account in a local town, gets dental treatment for her soon paid by Jackson, alleges MJ made her fly to Miami to give a rebuttal interview. The truth is she found out MJ was in Miami and had Chris Tucker charter a jet for her to fly out with her children.

Janet Arvizo previously alleged sexual assault against JC Penney when her son was arrested for shoplifting. She claimed a security guard tweaked her nipple 25 times. She won a large settlement. Mesereau exposed glaring inconsistencies in the evidence in that case, particularly her claims that she had been assaulted yet the police photos taken shortly after showed no signs of assault, or even a need for medical attention, yet days later she turns up to an attorney with fresh color photos with bruises. She lied to a newspaper about having not having medical insurance, and lied about the cost of treatment to get them to raise money for her family.

What will amaze you as you read this book, is how many viewed Michael Jackson as a meal ticket for life. Disgruntled former employees who had lost multi million dollar lawsuits made the most outrageous allegations, which were skilfully dismantled and disproven by the incisive cross examination of Tom Mesereau.

About the 1993 agreement, Jackson said on the Prime Time Diane Sawyer interview, that the only reason he was sitting there giving the interview was that the photographs taken of his parts did not match up with the description of the accuser. There are many more surprises waiting between the covers of this book.

If you are filled with a burning curiosity to know the truth, you can feel confident that this book is true. If you are curious to explore even further I may post some links in the comment section below.

This is my Amazon review of Conspiracy.  I hope you like it.

Thank you for writing this, Larry....when I first saw your blog title, I was concerned that I might read yet another viscious bashing of Micheal Jackson. THere are so many who are convinced he was "guilty" of child molestation, having condemned him before researching the accusations. I think they project their own inner darkness on the subject.  You put things in their true light here, I believe, and I am glad for it.

The subject of MJ fills me with saddness. It seems that being an eccentric, naive, but truly "innocent" and sensitive soul here on planet earth is highly suspect....to the point of attracting large numbers of people who need to destroy or ridicule that innocence, and devious individuals looking for a "meal ticket", as you say. I think MJ turned to drugs as a coping mechanism, and of course, as drugs do, they overtook his life and talent. But I think, especially after the '05 acquital, his will to live was diminished, and his spirit crushed.

I will definitely check out "Conspiracy"....none of it will surprise me, I'm guessing....(sigh). I often wonder what kind of world we still inhabit here, and the nightly news gives me little reassurance.

Your insights about MJ are spot on.  In the 2003 documentary, and the rebuttal "Living with Michael Jackson, Take Two"
Bashir's duplicitousness becomes apparent.  Jackson had his own camera person also recording, and showing items left out of the original.. For example. Bashir's sucking up, and saying Neverland was 'a spiritual experience'.We don't see that in the original.  What we hear instead is Bashir saying: 'Neverland, a dangerous place for a vulnerable child.'

It is apparent though that Jackson using alcohol and drugs as a coping mechanism, predates 2003.  For example,  Elizabeth Taylor got him into a rehab program for his painkiller addiction in 1993, when he had to abandon his world tour.

I suspect that he would still be alive today, if not for the events of 2003, and the trial of 2005, particularly with a media that continued to lie after the not guilty verdict.

I remember watching the Bashir documentary and sensing a manipulated "ominous" tone take on, as it continued. I believe MJ agreed to do it, to actualyl show people he was not so "wierd", and it served just the oppostite purpose. As you point out, so much is in the hands of the editor, and some people have hidden agendas.  I think Bashir was predatory, and even put ideas of "child molestation" into devious minds, setting the stage for what was to come. And, exactly as you say, the media continued to put him in a "guilty" light, even after the acquital. Few bothered to investigate the facts.

Probably, MJ became addicted to pain killers after the infamous Pepsi commercial (and, at the time, I was thinking "now why is he promoting Pepsi") I guess my point is that highly sensitive people can become easily addicted to drugs to hide or avoid inner pain and dilemma. And someone with his degree of fame and wealth could shut-out anyone who "disagreed" with his addiction....a lonely world.

One reason this subject brings me so much saddness, is that I see this as a human tragedy....an "icon" that so many here on earth idolized and idealized....he became the ultimate "projection" for both "good" and "bad", and I think it all affected his personal psyche. In a certain way, we are all responsible for the tragedy. (not to, in any way, say he was not responsible himself) But this is still a brutal world.

Yes, I think this world was cruel to Michael, and it occurs to me how much we as humans like to destroy our icons, and peace bringers.

I am thinking of Gandhi who was assassinated by his own, John F Kennedy assassinated, Matin Luther King assassinated, Robert Kennedy assassinated, John Lennon assassinated, Princess Diana- death by Papparazi (allegedly),
and now Michael Jackson, the death by prolonged ordeal.  Indira Gandhi and Anwar Sadat.

This is so true. This kind of earthly recognition can be a personal "curse", and I think it says something about our culture.

I agree Larry.  I have ALWAYS thought MJ was innocent and that he was "child-like" in and of himself.  Of course as we all know...the path his life took was the cause of his lost childhood (among other things).  I have always defended his honour amongst those who judge and accuse...

I personally think that the majority just cannot conceive of a man his age, doing with children what Michael Jackson did, without their "dirty" minds getting into the mix!!!!  He was NOT  a "normal" middle-aged man, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to notice that.  It does not mean he was a child molester.

Good for you, great post

I also have decided to put the facts out there to address how much he has been misrepresented. Many people are genuinely interested in knowing the truth now.  I did spend about an hour explaining to a friend of mine the other night, and she seemed to have a both a difficulty, and a lack of willingness to distinguish between fact and fantasy in this case.

Granted his behavior would apppear strange to most people, but when people ascribe bad intentions beyond the actual known behavior, like Bashir did, they are projecting their own shadow onto him.

It was interesting for me to discover through Dick Gregory that M.J borrowed against his future earnings from Sony, but there was a morals clause in there, so that if he was up on any morals charges, his catalogs would revert to sony leaving him with nothing, so he wouild have to settle out of court, making him look guilty. Gregory is supposed to have a special coming out about M.J, I am very much looking forward to it, I think he was murdered.

Thanks for your input.  I have heard that Sony was trying to take over MJ's stake.  Given that the trial was 4 years ago, and he was found not guilty, I doubt if this was a current issue.  I would be highly sceptical of the morals clause you mention, because I believe Jackson bought the Beatles publishing rights in the mid 80s, and I don't see the relationship between owning the publishing rights to the Beatles songs, and morals.

As for Dick Gregory, it looks like he has posted some clips on youtube, so I will check him out, but remain sceptical until I know better.

I have always felt that Michael Jackson was misunderstood - of course I could never be certain but that is what my gut always told me - that he was just child like himself anId the parents were looking for money. I have taken alot of flack for my opinion so I am glad to see someone speak out.

Since he has passed I have watched numerous clips of him. On youtube there was some called Michael being Michael, and I agree that certainly he did seem to have that innocent disposition. It is really mindblowing the endless procession of people in his life who pimped themselves out for money, and a tv soundbite.

Thanks for this, and you are not the only one to seek the truth about him. I miss him and it was my dream to meet him one day. All I have know are my dreams and his music. He was mistreated and misunderstood in this life. He was a lover and a silent fighter. His death untimely and extremely tragic.

"With such confusion don't it make you wanna scream?" =)
I wish I could give you 100 kudos for this entry.

I hope to God that with all the attention he's receiving right now people will feel compelled to go back, review his life, and do the research as you've done. The general public has been *lied* to for years. First, the media needed him to be W**** J**** in order to sell stories, then Tom Sneddon needed him to be W**** J**** in order to sell a case that was simply invented. I believe that the treatment of Michael, from the trials to the person the world made him out be, is one of the biggest cases of injustice there has ever ever been.

I'm always terribly enthusiastic about aiding people in doing research on him. This is the absolute best place out there for finding out who Michael Jackson really was - His poems, essays, music, videos, pictures, court docs, stories, quotes, interviews, articles, etc.
Please share this and help in the fight to clear his name. He can't defend himself anymore, it's up to us. If not for him, do it for his kids - who are going to have to grow up learning of and hearing about a daddy they surely won't recognize as the one who loved and raised them.

PS - If you haven't already seen "This Is It" - Go, go, go! Definitely the most honest presentation of him, on a scale this large, that I've ever seen. Thank God he is finally being given this. The world will finally have the chance to see a Michael Jackson that is completely unaffected - no underhanded commentary, no editing with an agenda - just Michael being Michael. I hope that this is only the beginning of that.
