Current mood:  shocked
Category: News and Politics
Most times most elections are pretty normal, scandal here brush with shady dealings there but pretty boring for the most part . I love following elections, I was a senior in government class in highschool during Bush Sr's run. Yes that's how old I am and I have a place on Myspace.

I have NEVER seen a more politically crazy season. Even the years Perot ran were not this exciting. First African American President or the first Woman VP... That's cool, thats progress but thats not why I am writing. I am writing cause I think I have to be dreaming... I have to be... Pinch me. PLEASE... no wait let me cherish just a little.

Ok... I love pregnancy scandals. Its always fun that someone ( and more than one cause it takes to tango) is gettin' busy down and dirty that they be makin' a baby... love child so to speak.

Now this is why I am happy cause of two points, I put it like this.

"I am wanting to lead this nation, I am 72, surviving cancer patient, and my number two is 44 with a 17 year old pregnant daughter, if I pass she's in charge. "

Dude, Jesse Jackson could run against that and win.

The second, and this is just a slight tangent from the first, How can you run a commercial touting Obama as similar to Britney and Paris and then pick Lynn Spears as your running mate?

What the hell is going on? This is like a little pure political chaos (The news orgs gotta be lovin' it). What's next the Joker as Secretary of State?

All I can say is WOW!

problem is, she has more executive experience than Obama. so we either have a possible inexperienced president should Mccaine pass or a guaranteed inexperienced candidate if Obama wins. way I see it, we're kinda screwed no matter what.

Thats nice in print but it still does not go through the minds of people while in the booth... What you said about experience is taken out of McCain's words himself in one of his one on one's with the press and Obama's experience as a national and worldly politician trumps her. His pick for VP champions him even further. So I hardly view it as a problem.

national and worldly? how do you figure. he has been a community organizer and a senator for one term-most of which was spent campaigning and voting present more than 200 times. Palin has been on city council, a mayor and a governor and has a proven recored of cleaning out corruption in her own party. what has Obama ever done? these are the things that should be going through minds in the booth as they are the facts, not empty slogans.

I travel to other countries, his name is far more recognized abroad than what's his name??? umm McCain. Then again they usually recognize with Democrats more so than Republicans. He does have experience speaking with world leaders and his pick is articulate, bright, and clean in that department too. He also WANTS to speak to world leaders. Hey talk is cheap but that motto is out the window if it averts another multibillion dollar war.

Palin has managed paving of a city, and stopped the bridge to nowhere... So she is fit to lead the country all the sudden? McCain IS a Maverick!

i'm votin, alright! i was an obama delegate. define "executive experience." executive experience means "socialized with big interests" in my book. "took money from big oil, pharmaceutical companies, and insurance companies." "part of the good ol' boy network.
"

obama isn't stupid, and i think at this point, many americans will agree! he has the ability to lead by inspiring and instilling hope in people. obama was smart enough to choose joe biden as his vp candidate: a man who became a senator at age 30 and is the chairman of the foreign affairs committee.

so FUCK executive experience.
let's get someone with a brain in office who isn't a big business good ol' boy!
